Hebrew School:
Classes are held on Sunday morning. Each class runs for three hours. Our program is designed to help the students learn to read Hebrew, understand our celebrations and participate in our services. Each year more proficiency skills are added so that our children can attain the knowledge and experience needed to carry on our religious and cultural traditions.
Alef:
Introduction to Judaica and Hebrew: Recognition of Hebrew letters and sounds; holidays; blessings; bible stories; songs; special projects and participation in services.
Bet:
Reading and writing Hebrew letters; Hebrew words; blessings; holidays and festivities; bible stories; songs and service participation
Gimmel:
Reading and writing Hebrew words, phrases; learning the blessings, bible stories, mitzvah projects and service participation
Dalet:
Learning to read Siddur words and phrases, Friday and Shabbat morning prayers; songs; bible stories; holidays and festivities; mitzvah projects; blessings.
Hey:
Polish reading skills, adding more prayers and blessings, mitzvah projects; songs; bible stories, holidays and festivities; service participation.
Vav:
Concentrate on reading fluency in preparation for Bar/Bat Mitzvah class; mitzvah projects; bible studies; holidays and festivities; songs, service participation.
B'nai Mitzvah class:
Class and individual preparation for Bar/Bat Mitzvah ceremony.
